Abstract:
This report represents the twelve weeks working experience in the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), Dhaka Main Office, Anchor Tower, 108 Bir Uttam C R Dutta Road, Dhaka-1205. This report represents a study on “HSBC Loan Assessment System; Efficacy and Effects.” The focal point of the study was to get a in depth idea about HSBC and its operations in Bangladesh, understanding of the current marketing strategies and position, understanding of the goals that HSBC in Bangladesh wants to achieve, entail the strategic analysis of the forces both external and internal to HSBC in Bangladesh, analysis of the intervening conditions, identification of the key success factors (KSF), F/D analysis and analyzing the strategic implications.
The report describes the background of the project, its scope, objectives and methodology along with the limitations encountered. The second chapter deals with the overview of HSBC bank in the global perspective, historical background of its improvement all over the world, and the overview of HSBC in Bangladesh.
This report mainly focuses on the process cycle of a particular loan, Bottlenecks in the cycle, cost of operation in the current loan process and financial loss and gain from the process. This report also concentrates on the effectiveness of the assessment process and loan evaluation and disbursement. The study also intends to find the financial impact of the Assessment process in form of revenue generation by HSBC and identify the scope of improvement
