dc.description.abstract Since a confession is an acknowledgement in expressed word of the truth of the main fact charged or of some essential part of it, it plays a vital role in a criminal case. This paper intends to focus the general concept and laws related to confes-sion in order to scrutinize the rules and regulations of when record confession statement, who are authorized to conduct the record and how to ensure the acceptability of confessional statement. Accordingly, this dissertation attempts to evaluate the evidential value of confession under the light of some relevant case references. en_US
