dc.description.abstract This dissertation tries to define the rights of muslim women in Bangladesh. It also defines and explains the rights under the Islamic perspective such as-the right to property, right to succession, right to maintenance, right to dower, and right to dissolution of marriage and also the rights under the national law. The aim of the dissertation is not to judge how much rights are prescribed in the law and in the Islam for the women but to determine whether the women’s are getting it fully, whether they enjoy all the rights disclosed in the law. If they are getting then how much? If are they not getting then why? Why the women should suffer for their rights? Why the women are always in the backward? How will they get their rights? And finally this paper to find out, how the law turns into the practice to establish the rights of the women? en_US
