dc.description.abstract This dissertation is focused on the adoption under Hindu Law, especially in Bangladesh perspective. This dissertation aims to show how the rights are exercised by hindu widows and married woman. The definition of adoption, the rights of the adopted child, purposes of adoption, their background and the drawbacks has been analyzed here. To strengthen the view, the related laws of Bangladesh and India have been especially emphasized. Further, this dissertation attempts to justify the necessity of adoption under the Muslim, Hindu, Parsis and Christian personal laws. Besides, readers will be introduced to the leading cases related to adoption. en_US
