of banks in their operational areas. In addition to this, banks’ performances should be&#13;
measured because of the several parties related to the banking industry. Depositors&#13;
evaluate performance to make a decision regarding whether to trade with the bank,&#13;
bank-managers evaluate performance to formulate a strategy, and regulators evaluate&#13;
to ensure whether the banks’ performances align with the legal and societal structure&#13;
of the country.&#13;
The objective of the study is to analyze the “Loan Disbursement” A Case Study on&#13;
First Security Islami Bank Limited&#13;
Though primary objective of preparing this paper is to fulfill the requirement of BBA&#13;
internship program but this study will serve as a reference for any kind of further&#13;
research both for academic or business purposes.&#13;
From the study we will get a clear picture of overall performance of FSIBL and also&#13;
special scenario of customer satisfaction level of monthly savings scheme. Overall&#13;
customer satisfaction depends on what type of service marketer providing to&#13;
customer. Customers expect more return on their savings which is comparatively&#13;
lower than other private commercial bank.&#13;
The study has some shortcoming are lack of knowledge to such type of survey, time&#13;
limitations, respondents’ unwillingness to cooperate and limited sample size. This&#13;
report is prepared on the basis of information collected from both secondary and&#13;
primary sources and every effort has been made to ensure that the information&#13;
compiled in the report is accurate.

Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited has been operating its business in Bangladesh for a long time with an admirable reputation. With intent to provide high quality food products at competitive price Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited was added to the company line of this conglomerate. Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited launched O’Potato Chips and considering the popularity of fast food items.&#13;

Chips are a popular snacks item in our country. Within a short time this product has ensured its position both in urban and rural area. The market size is fairly large and it is expanding day by day. From upper class to lower class, people of all strata of the society have demand for this food. In general, people of middle class to upper class are the major consumer of this product.&#13;
&#13;
Bombay Sweets is the pioneer in the packet chips industry in Bangladesh. They launched Bombay Sweets Potato Crackers in 1985. At that time there was no other competitors for packet chips. Through their widespread network they have made the products available in all over the country. Gradually the market has been expanded and now there are as long as more than eighth competitors in the market. There are more than twenty brands in the market with three international competitors.&#13;
&#13;
Besides packet chips there is a huge market of homemade chips. Though they are the players of chips industry, are not direct competitors of Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited. Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited distributes chips through their own distribution channel. Usually small enterprises or wholesalers are selected as distributors considering some criteria like capital, risk bearing capacity, network in the market, previous track record etc.&#13;
&#13;
For the purpose of this study it has been conducted surveys by questionnaire method. Consumer of age ranging from ten to thirty was surveyed to know their daily routing, how to spend their leisure time, favorite program, favorite channel, favorite paper or periodic etc. People of different area have different idea about the media and their different point of view depends on their demographic status and knowledge about the product.&#13;
&#13;
During the short working period at Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited, it has been tried to gather information by communicating from lower to higher level of organization employees and other sources. But the sources of information are limited.&#13;
&#13;
First of all to make a report it has been set an objective on which segment of the market it will conduct my research so that it has been chosen chips industry to perceive the perception of consumers about chips and also evolution of marketing strategy followed by O’Potato through which can predict the present situation of chips industry and also can have a good glance on other chips manufacturing companies as well as the positioning strategy of O’Potato. This dissertation research report highlights on practical experience in Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited based on brand promotion strategy in Bangladesh.&#13;

For conducting this assignment successfully it has been interviewed Ahammad Ali Hasan (Brand Manager) to know what their company think about target market and threats of substitute product of chips companies, which company contain highest potential entrance in the field of chips industry of Bangladesh, whether they have bargaining power or the supplier have the bargaining power and the current condition of the chips producing industry.&#13;
&#13;
After that it has been prepared for questionnaire to make a fruitful research and conduct my research on 50 respondents and also visited 15 shops to get the closest picture of the chips market. After gathering information through research it has been visited various websites of chips Companies to congregate information.&#13;
&#13;
After visiting the website it has been devoted into analyzing the respond which have been found through the research to portray findings which given later in this report. &#13;
&#13;
In during of my working period there found that Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited is one of the prominent native companies among the fast moving consumer goods producer which has several product line and many more in pipe line to introduce. So in term of consumer perception and positioning they should make in mind the some recommendations.&#13;
&#13;
Throughout working period gained a lot of valuable knowledge regarding the operation of the entire food &amp; beverage industry. The company Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited (AFBL) lately came in the business and has already achieved flourishing state with some of its brands. It has been highly obliged for being a part of this venture, and understanding their business policies, operational structure, strategy formulation and implementations. The comprehension gained from the marketing activities of Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited enhanced my knowledge portfolio to a greater extent.&#13;

&#13;
To successfully conduct the study it has been also involved in a brainstorming session with Ahammad Ali Hasan (Brand Manager) on the basis of the information that gather from interview, web address and text book to complete the report in a most creative and distinctive way.&#13;
&#13;
Through piloting this project successfully got extreme result that chips industry of Bangladesh is able to create a significant position in our economy and try to boost up the economy of Bangladesh. It has been strongly predict that Potato chips contains a great future ahead, this product is really enclose optimum quality and want to deliver quality also towards its consumers.&#13;
&#13;
Every organizations has its positives as well as negatives sites and in case of FMCG, the later one is less than the earlier one and as the management is determined to reach the pick of success it seems that in near future the negatives will be eliminated. To keep on number one positions in Bangladesh Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited should fear highly about their marketing strategy and other related activities.&#13;

The study has been conducted as structured questionnaire survey on clients in Bangladesh, in order to perceive the service potential in the market. The study brings out the truth that consultancy seemed to have a good potentiality in the whole market of Bangladesh. At last it has been want to about that sales promotion play an important role in the total marketing mix. To use it well or successive way Akij Food &amp; Beverage Limited must define the sales promotion objective, select best tools, design the sales promotion  program, implement the program, and evaluated the result

Modern Banks play an important part in promoting economic development of a country. Banks provide necessary funds for executing various programs in progress in the process of economic development. They collect savings of large masses of people scattered through out the country, which in the absence of banks would have remained ideal and unproductive. These scattered amounts are collected, pooled together and made available to commerce and industry for meeting the requirements. &#13;
&#13;
Jamuna Bank Limited (JBL) is a Banking Company registered under the Companies Act, 1994 with its Head Office at Chini Shilpa Bhaban, 3, Dilkusha C/A, Dhaka-1000. The Bank started its operation from 3rd June 2001.  Jamuna Bank Limited is one of the most well known private in our country. It undertakes all type of banking transactions to support the development of trade and commerce in the country. Above all of their service they go through their objectives such as earning and maintaining CAMEL rating strong, establishing relationship banking, introducing fully automated systems, ensuring an adequate rate of return on investment, maintaining adequate liquidity to meet maturity obligations, pursuing an effective system of Management by transparency and accountability at all levels. As a part of fulfilling their objectives through their customer JBL offers the following accounts: Current Deposits, Savings Bank Deposits, Fixed Deposits, Short Term Deposits, Monthly Term Deposits, Any other deposits as may be approved/ advised by Head Office. In General Banking, Clearing department receives cheques, DD, P.O. etc from depositors attached with a deposit slip. The branches of the bank operate as independent accounting unit.&#13;
&#13;
 They submit statement of affairs and other prescribed returns direct to Head Office where these are consolidated in the form of a statement showing assets and liabilities of whole Bank as at the close of business on Thursday and at the last working day of each month. The system of transactions of the bank is essentially double entry system of book keeping. But for quick and accurate recording as well as for arriving at daily financial position specialized form of double entry system book keeping, named slip system under self balancing method is followed by the bank. The golden principle of debiting or crediting is the same as those of double entry system. In the bank, instead of recording transactions in a journal initially, these are directly recorded and posted in the ledger (computer) separating the debits and credits by slips or voucher system. Foreign exchange is an important department of Jamuna Bank Limited, which deals with import, export and foreign remittances. It bridges between importers and exporters.&#13;
 &#13;
This department is playing an important role in enhancing export earnings, which aids economic growth and in turn it helps for the economic development. On the other hand, it also helps to meet those goods and service, which are most demandable and not adequate in our country. Jamuna Bank’s performance in foreign trade department was quite satisfactory. The amount of total import was Tk.57705 million and the amount of total export was Tk.68844 million during the year 2012. The growth of import business was 39.1% while that in export, not harmonious though, was 15.6%. According to BPC statistic, import payments for petroleum product increased by 33.5% in FY2012 in BDT terms. A division of the increase was attributed to higher prices of petroleum products. Which increased by 21.3% in USD terms. Slowdown in export also helped to reduce pressure of import payments as a significant proportion of is directly related to export performance. At the same time, stringent policies of Bangladesh bank to restrict financing of import have also contributed to slowdown in import. The statistics of Bank’s foreign exchange perfectly reflects the overall picture of country’s Balance of Payments. The import payments exceed the inward remittance collected from the wage earners and export proceeds. Due to the shortfall in its own foreign exchange reserve, JBL has to depend on local market for collecting foreign currency in order to make the import payment.&#13;

One of the important operations of the bank is to support international trade through its foreign exchange department. .The foreign exchange department facilitates international trade through its various modes of services. It bridges between importer and exporters. The branches, eligible to participate in foreign exchange dealing, is called authorized dealer. It can remit foreign exchange from local country to foreign country. This department mainly deals in foreign currency. The business of foreign exchange is getting increasingly complex and intensely competitive.  &#13;
&#13;
This is the department that facilitates international trade payment using the banking channel as the medium of settlements. Besides, banks meet the other need of the people regarding foreign currency transactions since they are authorized to deal in foreign exchange with permission from central bank under foreign exchange regulation act. All exports and imports are executed through the intervention of Banks. Side by side they provide funded and non-funded credit facility in execution of international Trade.&#13;
So, it is considered as an international department of the bank. Although the foreign exchange business widening day by day , but there are also some obstacles around it such as in sufficient presence of modern communication equipment, lack of enthusiastic scheme for export and importer, absence of attractive remuneration package and motivation for the employee, improper allocation of employee. But the maintain a good customer relationship management (CRM), online banking facilities has already provided by Jamuna Bank limited, which is very effective and time oriented strategy that leads JBl ahead. So it should concentrate on communication with the Negotiation Bank, Advising Bank, Reimbursing Bank the branches use Telex and SWIFT. As well as these media the Bank could use the Email, which Cheaper and faster than those media &amp; to attract more Clients JBL has to create a new marketing strategy, which will increase total export –import business and long term training is required especially for foreign exchange officers.&#13;

In SWOT analysis that expended that business portfolio, retail banking and on line banking which create opportunity for the jamuna bank limited in order to accelerate the business growth whereas multinational banks and up coming foreign and private banks as well as default risk of all term loans and at low compensation package of the employees become significant threats to jamuna bank limited .The credit rating of the bank is also satisfactory which is compare with previous all year. To maintain and to hold the position and be perfect in this sector it will have keep more attention to the customer retention and development. Hence, banking is a service-oriented business. Its business profit depends on its service quality. That’s why the authority always should be aware about their service quality.
